Quote of the day

Flaws are a part of who we are. And who we are, individually, as a race, and as a species, is beautiful. Yes, we have the capacity to do bad things and be bad people, and there are those who unfortunately embrace this; but on the grand scale of things, most of us do not embrace that side. We are good people. We are not our downfalls, we are not our mistakes, we are not our failures. They help shape who we become but they do not define us.

We are beautiful, creative, innovative, faithful, hopeful, brilliant, incredible, honest, truthful, dependable, trustworthy, understanding, kind, giving, caring, sharing, loving beings with an immpecable capacity for good and greatness of this phenomenal, gorgeous, precious planet called Earth. And NO ONE can take away or change who you are. Only YOU have the power to decide who you are.

That being said, I must warn you that it is wise to watch who you let influence yourself. I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of or read the story ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde, but this character let someone else who had an immoral mentality influence him and, well… I’ll let you read it. Or you can watch one of the film adaptations. My point is, be careful of the company you keep. Choose wisely those who you let into your space. Everyone around you has an influence on you, but you should only let those who are positive, good hearted, and radiate positive energy influence you. And be sure to learn not only from your mistakes, but also from the mistakes of those around you as well. Many great lessons can be learned by simply paying attention and being aware of what’s around you.

All-in-all, you are beautiful. Know it, understand it, because you are.
