I used to wonder the same thing, then years later came to this same realization. We are the answers to our own problems. There is something that each of us sees and wonders why no one does something about that, or does a better job at that something. We can make whatever that situation is right, or at least do our part to try to make it better. We can’t fix what we’re not willing to work for. A favorite environmental activist of mine, Madison Stewart, aka Shark Girl, once said “We define who we are, when we define what we’re willing to fight for.” And she is so right. We have to be willing to do the work to make things better and pursue our dreams. We have to work and sacrifice to get what we want. When we do that, we make a difference in the world for the better and we define ourselves through our actions. We choose how we are defined in a small part of what we say, but mostly in what we do and how we do it. We have to have intention. We have to know and see, at some point, the direction in which we want to go. We have to choose a path. And we have to remember that all solutions are found within us. We simply have to look within to find the answers we’re searching for. So know, embrace, and love yourself. You are key, you are the answer, you are that somebody; that somebody to change the world, that somebody to make a difference.
