Soul Journey

A personal note.

The personal journey is a messy roller coaster that is ever changing. Its hard and it’s crazy, and it can be overwhelming. At the same time, that is also what makes the growth so worth it. That feeling of knowing what you came through, what you survived, and what you overcame to get where you are. That is a beautiful feeling. I’m trying to remember that.

Growth is a gift and so is everything that comes with it. I enjoy the highs and am so grateful for the beauty that is Life in all its infinite, wondrous glory. I am just as grateful for the lows. They aren’t fun while you’re there but they really do so much for us in helping to make this life what it is. That sense of fulfillment through self-care and self-love is truly indescribable. And even more potent when you realize that it was you who made it through. You had help from great guides, teachers, and influences along the way, but it was you who did the work and came out victorious.

I’m going through a phase of self-discovery and the Universe is testing me to see what I’m  really made of. Boy do I have some work to do. But all I can think right now is to be grateful. When you see life that way it really does help and make whatever situation you’re in better. Being in a constant state of gratefulness brings forth the concrete strength that lies within you. You have to work at it and it is a huge trail, but it is vital not to give in.

It is also imperative to make sure, especially this day in time when there is so much out there to absorb, to have positive, kind, goodhearted, humble guides, teachers, and inspirations to look up to and learn from. They are key to your journey. We are in full control of what we give attention to and the energy that we absorb through social media (a great perk!). Use that wisely. You don’t have to absorb bad energy and negativity. It’s always going to be there but you NEVER have to give power to it.

Stay focused on you and your journey. Do everything you can to stay within yourself and not get caught up with things that stifle, and hinder you. Feel what you feel, let whatever comes come, and let go of whatever needs to be released. We all have the innate senses to know what we need and don’t need. Be smart and work smart, not hard. Grind but do not wear yourself out. And whenever you find yourself out of alignment, acknowledge it and come back to your core.

The Source lies within you. Your Source is in your core, it is your core. Remember. Come back to your core, your center. There you will find all you need. In your core lies all the answers. In your core lies your connection to all, to everything within and outside of you. That connection is Life. That is who and what you truly are. You are the Sun, the Moon, the Stars. You are a Milky Way, a Galaxy, the Universe. Your body is temporary but You are Infinite. You everything, everywhere, and everlasting.  Remember. Love. Love yourself, love others, enjoy the journey.

Greatness 101

Today’s greatness tips come from one of my spiritual leaders, John Assaraf. Follow him on Facebook to see his talks on Tuesdays, 11 am central time.

Learn, Practice, Repeat

We must find out what we don’t know and need to know, then build upon that. Life is an everyday practice in and of itself, so it goes for all else. A problem that many of us have, I’m speaking from experience here, is that we start practicing but then we get tired and give up or either take a break and settle into break mode. We have to learn to fight past that. This is life, life is work; made all the more difficult when we add on unnecessary suffering. Life is simple, some situations and circumstances can be difficult, but we need not get caught up on that. Difficulty is neither here nor there because we can make it through anything we set our minds to.  The point is, learn to whether the storm, and keep moving. We may be tired but life doesn’t stop, and neither should we. We come out all the stronger when we push through.

Learn, Practice, Repeat. Learn, Practice, Repeat. Learn, Practice, Repeat.

“Practice makes the master.” – Don Miguel Ruiz

“Repetition is key.” – John Kehoe

There are millions of teachers and leaders around you to learn from about this life experience. All the information and knowledge you need to live, live well, and make the most of this experience is there for you. Find your mentor(s), learn, practice, repeat. Do what serves you. Do what you can for others. Learn, practice, repeat.

“I’ll fight for my future long before I hope for it.” – Madison Stewart

Take your life into your own hands. Do for yourself. Make a way or create a way if you can’t find one. You will never have what you don’t work for. It is work living. But never forget that it’s all worth it. You create the life you want. You are who you decide to be. You go where you choose to go. The power of controlling your path lies within you. Utilize it. While you wait and hope for what you want you’re letting others have control of you. Don’t give it to them. You have to be active in living your life and doing and being as you wish. When it comes to people and the way they treat you, only what you allow will happen. What you accept will determine your reality. Fight for your right to be here and shine. You deserve to be here, use your voice, give your best, be your best, and to have the best.

“Do you. Be You. For You.”

Step Up

“Don’t talk, ACT. Don’t say, SHOW. Don’t promise, PROVE.”

                            – Halle Berry
I’ve used this quote before but it is more relevant and necessary now more than ever. It is absolutely vital that each of us does our part to be a part of our global community. We, as humanity, need to unite and actively work to better ourselves, life, and the world. We must be a part of leaving this world a better place than we found it.

The Answer

Other people are not our enemy. Hate, Fear, Negativity, Doubt, Seperation, and Ignorance are the names that our enemy goes by. We must not forget that these are the ones that destroy our relationships, with ourselves and others. These are the ones that make life more difficult than necessary. These are the ones that kill, steal, and destroy. It is these we must combat at all times.

People will always be subject to one of these. That is why we must equip ourselves with the means and knowledge to overcome and conquer them. It is through Kindness, Compassion, Unity, Understanding, Patience, Calm, Goodness, Light, Good Vibes, Good Energy, Empathy, Love, and Service that we become victorious over the enemy. We will lose battles, but we win the war.

We are the answer to our own problems. It is through each of us that we grow and better life and the world. It is through personal relationship that we grow and better life and the world. Do what you love, love yourself, love others, be grateful, be kind, do good, listen to yourself, listen to others, believe in yourself, believe in others. When we are connected and happy with ourselves our connection to all else grows and strengthens.

All it takes in life is the courage and bravery to take the necessary risks to truly and genuinely live. To live for ourselves and do for ourselves which in turn benefits everyone and everything around us. When love is the focus and the way, we never lose. When all of our experiences become lessons that we grow through and from, we never lose. When peace, action, empathy, unity, understanding, and love lead, we all win.

Even those that subscribe and succumb to the hate, fear, negativity, doubt, separation, and ignorance will benefit from our love and our power because that’s what love does. It betters everyone and everything. When love abides there is always room and time for change. Real change. All it takes is you. Be ready and willing to actively work, continuously, on yourself and do what you love.

When we are each doing our part and moving forward together,  nothing and no one can stop us. Let us rise up, in Love, together. Let us move forward and grow, together. Let us usher in a new era of goodness, kindness, creativity, unity, compassion, empathy, understanding, and Love. We can do this. It has already begun. It’s never too late to choose Love. Choose Love, today and every day.

The Link in the Equation

” – but our countries are counting on us to miss the link… they are painting the enemy foreign and selling the product domestic… so let this build your anger for the depletion of our oceans, but make sure your anger goes to the right recipient.”

– Madison Stewart (aka Shark Girl)

This is the truth and the key to taking back our power as the people. We have to realize, acknowledge, and accept the atrocities and the depth of the atrocities we and our governments create. We have to first realize that what is happening is wrong and then that we continue it and normalize it every single day by our continued participation. The power lies with us.

We are the ones who fuel our oppressors. We are the ones who do the work for them and make their wrong doings possible, through willful blindness and fearful compliance. We can no longer exist under these circumstances; especially when we do not have to. We are under no obligation to add to our own suffering. And the only way to change things is to take radical action.

People were made to be afraid of that word. It is a powerful one, because when we become radical, things get done, things change. We have to start putting our best interest first instead of the oppressors. Anger is a useful tool if applied in the right way and mindset. It can be used to fuel good, creative, universal change, which is much needed right now.

In life, there are very few requirements in the grand scheme of things, and the #1 requirement is that you show up. You have to show up, for yourself and others. You have to act and take things into your own hands. You make the difference between war and peace, justice and injustice, hope and despair, right and wrong. You are the link that creates the world around you.

Your inaction is just as vital, and more in some cases, as your action. Your choices truly do matter. You truly do matter. Your life and presence here in this world, at this moment in time make ALL the difference. You’ve got to be willing to take charge of your own life, see things as they are, and do what you can to be a positive and helpful force during your journey here.
“- the world does not need people who hope for change right now, it needs people who will fight for it.”   – Madison Stewart
