Quote of the Day

“Step up. Break away from the status quo. Inspire others.”

I was scrolling through Instagram and happened upon a post from the American Ballet Theatre, I believe, and saw these words in one of their posts about being a professional dancer. These words stuck with me.

If we are to live our best lives and live our fullest and greatest potential, we need to step up. Challenges arise and we are tested. Our will, hearts, and desire are tested. We can rise to meet those challenges head on.

The status quo is a societal burden that has weighed humanity down for too long. Let us rid ourselves of this unnecessary obstacle. It serves no purpose, therefore it is useless. So let’s break free, be free, live our lives, love ourselves.

Inspiration comes in an infinite number of ways. And our want to be good to others begets the best, not only in ourselves, but others as well. Kindness and goodness go so far in this life. May we make these our way of life so that we may continue to grow, be, and do better.

Consciously Choose

Consciously choose your words.

Consciously choose your thoughts.

Consciously choose your actions.

Consciously choose your beliefs.

Consciously choose your attitude.

Consciously be aware of and work to control your emotions and reactions.

All of these create your life. Consciously create your life.

Be consistent in this practice.

Wake with blessings and gratitude. Affirm your life.

Do everything that is in your best interest at all times. – AJ

The Answer

Other people are not our enemy. Hate, Fear, Negativity, Doubt, Seperation, and Ignorance are the names that our enemy goes by. We must not forget that these are the ones that destroy our relationships, with ourselves and others. These are the ones that make life more difficult than necessary. These are the ones that kill, steal, and destroy. It is these we must combat at all times.

People will always be subject to one of these. That is why we must equip ourselves with the means and knowledge to overcome and conquer them. It is through Kindness, Compassion, Unity, Understanding, Patience, Calm, Goodness, Light, Good Vibes, Good Energy, Empathy, Love, and Service that we become victorious over the enemy. We will lose battles, but we win the war.

We are the answer to our own problems. It is through each of us that we grow and better life and the world. It is through personal relationship that we grow and better life and the world. Do what you love, love yourself, love others, be grateful, be kind, do good, listen to yourself, listen to others, believe in yourself, believe in others. When we are connected and happy with ourselves our connection to all else grows and strengthens.

All it takes in life is the courage and bravery to take the necessary risks to truly and genuinely live. To live for ourselves and do for ourselves which in turn benefits everyone and everything around us. When love is the focus and the way, we never lose. When all of our experiences become lessons that we grow through and from, we never lose. When peace, action, empathy, unity, understanding, and love lead, we all win.

Even those that subscribe and succumb to the hate, fear, negativity, doubt, separation, and ignorance will benefit from our love and our power because that’s what love does. It betters everyone and everything. When love abides there is always room and time for change. Real change. All it takes is you. Be ready and willing to actively work, continuously, on yourself and do what you love.

When we are each doing our part and moving forward together,  nothing and no one can stop us. Let us rise up, in Love, together. Let us move forward and grow, together. Let us usher in a new era of goodness, kindness, creativity, unity, compassion, empathy, understanding, and Love. We can do this. It has already begun. It’s never too late to choose Love. Choose Love, today and every day.

The Link in the Equation

” – but our countries are counting on us to miss the link… they are painting the enemy foreign and selling the product domestic… so let this build your anger for the depletion of our oceans, but make sure your anger goes to the right recipient.”

– Madison Stewart (aka Shark Girl)

This is the truth and the key to taking back our power as the people. We have to realize, acknowledge, and accept the atrocities and the depth of the atrocities we and our governments create. We have to first realize that what is happening is wrong and then that we continue it and normalize it every single day by our continued participation. The power lies with us.

We are the ones who fuel our oppressors. We are the ones who do the work for them and make their wrong doings possible, through willful blindness and fearful compliance. We can no longer exist under these circumstances; especially when we do not have to. We are under no obligation to add to our own suffering. And the only way to change things is to take radical action.

People were made to be afraid of that word. It is a powerful one, because when we become radical, things get done, things change. We have to start putting our best interest first instead of the oppressors. Anger is a useful tool if applied in the right way and mindset. It can be used to fuel good, creative, universal change, which is much needed right now.

In life, there are very few requirements in the grand scheme of things, and the #1 requirement is that you show up. You have to show up, for yourself and others. You have to act and take things into your own hands. You make the difference between war and peace, justice and injustice, hope and despair, right and wrong. You are the link that creates the world around you.

Your inaction is just as vital, and more in some cases, as your action. Your choices truly do matter. You truly do matter. Your life and presence here in this world, at this moment in time make ALL the difference. You’ve got to be willing to take charge of your own life, see things as they are, and do what you can to be a positive and helpful force during your journey here.
“- the world does not need people who hope for change right now, it needs people who will fight for it.”   – Madison Stewart

Life Lesson

Dealing with your own pain is hard enough, but dealing with that of someone else, especially someone you care for and love deeply, is a whole other thing all together.

You can’t fight someone in their struggle, let alone about their struggle. They have to heal in their own way, in their own time. All you can do is be present for them, patient, understanding, honest, truthful, supportive, and loving. It’s not a walk in the park. Seeing another suffer is one of the absolute worst things that we have to deal with as humans. But it happens. And we have to be there for people in their struggle. They have to deal and we need to be there for them. Because though their struggle affects us, it’s not about us, it’s about them. Remember that. We all have to learn.

8 Things Cinderella Reminded Me About

Here are 8 important and inspiring key things from Cinderella (the 2015 live action film) that really got me thinking and inspired:

1) Patience
2) Kindness
3) Courage
4) Empathy
5) Compassion
6) Goodness
7) Light
8) Love

1) Be patient with yourself and others. We’re all learning, we’re all going through something, we’re all growing. And even when dealing with those who aren’t, it’s not worth your energy to get riled up.
2) Be kind to yourself and others. You deserve it and so does everyone else around you. It never hurts to show a little kindness. Kindness➡Goodness➡Magic➡Awesome Life
3) Be courageous. A lot of great things come when you find and use your courage. You discover a lot about you and the world around you when you give yourself the chance to embrace it.
4) Use your empathy. A lot of us do not and it’s so sad. People don’t care about others or their predicaments until the same situation directly affects those very ones who don’t care. That’s not the way we should be. We should always be concerned for others and try to put ourselves in other people’s shoes. Caring for others goes a long way.
5) Practice compassion. Some people can not do for themselves in certain ways and if you have the means to help another, do it. Some of us just need a leg up, a boost, a little push, a sign that someone cares, that we are not alone. Help where you can, how you can.
6) Embrace and practice your goodness. Goodness lives within all of us. It is a natural thing born into us. It is simply up to us to either embrace it or not. It is 100% beneficial to embrace and practice goodness. It is beneficial to you and everyone around you and doesn’t do you any harm to do.
7) Let your light shine. We all have a light inside of us. It can be a small ember, or it can be sparked into a raging flame. Someone, something, or we ourselves can spark it. But, individually, it is ourselves who keep that flame alive. Your light is beautiful, bright, unique, and brilliant. Let it shine.
8) Love, Love, Love. Love is the root of all of these things. Love is where these things come from. Love encompasses all of these things and more. You are made of love, you are made from love. Acknowledge it, accept it, embrace it. Love is life.

She was a lucky girl to have had such a simple, easy-going, and relaxed disposition. While she was passionate and strong in her morals, values, beliefs, and who she is as a whole, she was naturally gentle. I used to be that way and have somehow kind of flipped and become more uptight. Cinderella is helping me find my way back to that simple, easy-going, relaxed state of mind and being. Every time I watch that movie I am brought back to that place of peace and relaxation of heart. She embodies everything that I hope and practice to be and she represents what we all have inside of us. No, we don’t all have to have the same disposition and upbringing of kindness, love, and goodness. Unfortunately, not all of us get that, but we can all certainly learn it. Practice, practice, practice. “Practice makes the master.”

“Have courage and be kind. Where there is kindness there is goodness, and where there is goodness there is magic.”

Onwards

You gotta get up now. You gotta move. Go. Wherever it is you want to be, whatever it is you want to do, whoever it is you want to be, achieve it. You can’t stay here. You gotta go forward. Walk through that door.
Push, push, push, push, push.
Don’t give up. You may need to take a break and rest every so often but you can’t stop. Don’t stop. Never stop. Don’t quit.
You can do this. You can make it. You can fight through. You can overcome. You can win.
Commit. Work. Use all your skills. Get a move on. You’ve got it. You don’t have to have all your ducks in a row to get going. You can make a way. Take that leap of faith. Take that first step. Make those risky decisions. Go for it. This is your chance. This is your time. Get livin’.

Don’t forget that power. Never give up on it. We can get so caught up in whatever we’re going through that we forget what we’re capable of and what we can handle. You’ve got so much inside of you, everything you need to be your best, do your best, and succeed greatly. There is no doubting what you have, it’s there whether you recognize it or not. It’s just a matter of you putting it to use. You have everything you need, no matter how broken, helpless, lost, or hopeless you feel, you can make it through. You can overcome. You can.
